Shumba Camp, Kafue National Park, Zambia

Shumba Camp is located in the centre of the Busanga Plains, home to a wealth of game which is a big attraction for predators, including wild dog, cheetah and prides of lion. There are six spacious Meru tents on raised wooden he game-rich, tree-dotted Busanga Plains in the north-east of the park. The indoor and outdoor showers are big enough for two, and there's a seating area where you can kick back with a sundowner in the afternoon, if you're not lying around the infinity-edged pool at the main lodge or relaxing in its open-plan bar/lounge area which has fold-away glass doors leading onto a viewing deck.
